William Piller

Mendota, Illinois

Bill Piller is a self-taught sculptor with decades of experience in wildlife observation that shapes his interpretation of wildlife art. His understanding of anatomy is always evident, even in his smooth pieces. Exotic patinas dance across the surface of his work. Bill also has a great appreciation for historical stories. His Wild Bill Hickok monuments in Mendota and Troy Grove, IL, and his Radium Girl monument in Ottawa, IL, are made of bronze and tell powerful stories in their communities.
