Fort Collins, Colorado, sculptor Trace O’Connor uses modern techniques and cutting-edge technology to create striking metal compositions. Born in 1982, O'Connor started his career in the American South, making organic-themed art from mangled junkyard elements, and has now progressed to exploring themes of motion, human connection, freedom, and honoring the dead, and also incorporates technological elements such as retro-reflectivity, planar analysis, and anodizing. After earning a degree in 3D Studio Art with a minor in Physics, O'Connor began competing, with his first magnum opus, Iscariot, winning multiple awards. His most recent figurative work, One More Time, is on view in Fort Collins and at the 2026 SITP show.
