Steve Landis

Loveland, Colorado

Steve studied for his BFA at the University of Denver and recieved a MFA in sculpture from New York Academy of Art. While living in Manhattan he also studied with Sidney Simon, Nathaniel Kaz and Barey Hodes at the Art Students League.

His work is figuratively based and is realized primarily in bronze and high fired clay. He spent 10 years in Mexico where he explored making monumental ceramic "fire sculptures." His 3 meter sculpture of Bentio Juarz is located in Puebla, Mexico. His sculpture "Snowy Owl" was recently added to the permanent collection in Colorado Springs and Evergreen, CO.

He is represented by ArtBrokerSculptureLLC of Santa Fe.
