Steve Grater

Steve has worked with metal for 33 years, ever since he took a blacksmithing class and got a job assisting an artist blacksmith. Steve’s formal study of jewelry-making and other fine metalwork influences his current sculptural art, which is held in private collections in the western U.S. In 2024, Steve won Honorable Mention at MoabArtTrails for a sculpture that the city of Moab, Utah, later purchased. Steve’s sculptures are in the permanent public art collection of St. George, Utah, and Buffalo Creek Art Center in Gardnerville, Nevada. Steve is represented by InArt Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Más y Más gallery in Tubac, Arizona.
