Growing up in Southern Utah, I spent most of my spare time roaming the open spaces, observing, and studying Wildlife. Utah's west desert holds a special place near and dear to me. I am fascinated by the life that survives in such a harsh environment, namely coyotes and wild horses. In the past few years, I have been fortunate to travel to Africa many times to get inspiration for my African sculptures. I strive for realism and anatomical accuracy in my sculptures. I have developed a special process for applying patina that resembles polished stone. Notable displays include 25 life-size wood carvings of flying raptors at Pennsylvania's Hawk Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary's "Wings of Wonder" exhibit. 20 life-size wood carvings of "Birds of Texas" are displayed at the World Birding Center, McAllen, Texas. A 9-foot monumental bronze sculpture tribute to the soldiers who defend the United States of America in the war against terror at the State and County building in Vernal, Utah. Major awards include Best of Show " at the "Natures Art Show" at Brigham Young University. Best of show "Outlaw Trail Art Show" Vernal, Utah. Best of Show life-size sculpture of coyote at Utah Taxidermy Art show.
