Philippe Guillerm

Thomaston, Maine – Paris, France

Born in Paris in 1959, French sculptor Philippe Guillerm studied Illustration of Fine Art at Shoeltzer Créteil (1976) and Mechanical Fabrication Engineering at Diderot, Paris (1980). Combining rigorous training with a lifetime of sailing and boatbuilding, he creates lyrical, nautically inspired wood sculptures that merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. Guillerm has received numerous international honors, including multiple first prizes at the Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts, Niche Awards, and major juried exhibitions in Florida, Argentina, and Maine. His work is held in public and private collections worldwide and appears in landmark commissions from Tahiti and New Caledonia to Colorado, Oklahoma, Maine, and Curaçao that appeal strongly to discerning collectors.
