Nick Barstad

Nick Barstad is a Colorado-based sculptor specializing in marble and hardstone carving. He studied sculpture at the Kansas City Art Institute (2020–2021) and worked professionally as a stone cutter and carver at 2Sculpt from 2020 to 2022. His background includes years of hands-on trade work, which informs his material-driven approach and technical craftsmanship.

Barstad has participated in multiple marble symposia, and his award-winning work has been exhibited in juried shows, galleries, and private collections. Working primarily through direct carving, his sculpture explores classical influences, mythology, and symbolic themes while maintaining a contemporary voice.
