Jim Green

Hermosa, South Dakota

Jim Green is an artist working and living in Hermosa, SD. His South Dakota upbringing led him to meld a passion for art, mechanical abilities, and a love of animals. In the 90s, he ran a small fine-art casting foundry, which marked the beginning of his journey as a “self-taught” artist. Jim’s work is a thoughtful presentation of wildlife that focuses on balance and detail to engage the viewer with a story or emotion.

Jim is an elected member of the National Sculpture Society whose work is featured in galleries, exhibitions, and private collections nationwide. His sculpture, Pelican Ahoy, was installed at the Benson Sculpture Garden in 2014.
