I am inspired to sculpt by my fascination with wildlife and a desire for proximity to wildness in my own life. Forming and shaping animal subjects in clay is how I express the admiration and wonder I feel while creating something that I hope will share them equally with others. When my sculptures are experienced, I want the combination of shapes, smooth surfaces, colors, and the character of the animal’s pose, eyes, and expressions to convey my story and experience of that life. My goal is to share my passion for nature, wildlife, and wildness in each bronze I create.
