Ian Houghton is a Denver-based artist with over twenty years of experience creating large steel sculptures. He began his artistic career as a teenager in Tucson, Arizona, apprenticing under a sculptor before establishing his studio in Colorado. His sculptures combine forged steel, stainless steel, and industrial processes to create bold contemporary forms that explore pressure, movement, and transformation. Drawing on a lifelong fascination with welding and fabrication, Houghton transforms raw metal into striking works collected by both private and public clients nationwide.
