Gary Hall

Springville, Utah

Gary Hall started his college studies at Brigham Young University as an engineering student. While taking a ceramics class as a general education requirement, he found a passion for creating art out of clay. After completing a BFA in ceramics, Gary went on to work at art bronze foundries and learned the skills to transform clay into bronze. He also attained an MFA from BYU with an emphasis in ceramics and sculpture.

Currently, Gary teaches sculpture at Utah Valley University in Orem. His work is represented by Urban Arts Gallery in Salt Lake City and Hobble Creek Art Studio & Gallery in Springville, Utah. The city of Springville acquired one of Gary's biomorphic abstractions cast in bronze as part of its public arts program. This piece is installed on Main Street in Springville.
