Elijah Nugent

Loveland, Colorado

Elijah Nugent was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He moved to Loveland, Colorado to attend Colorado State University, receiving a B.S. in Biology while planning a career in the sciences. It was the great culture of art in Loveland that awoke his passion for anatomy and expression through form in figurative sculpture. Elijah studied under Jack Kreutzer for many years and began to refine his own work during live modeling sessions. Working from life Elijah will study with a model and pose over a series of weeks to capture their form and vitality in bronze. Elijah has permanent installations at Marian University and Benson Sculpture Garden.
