Doug Schneiter

Loveland, Colorado

My paternal geneology literally translates to “a woodsman who cuts”, which fits me well. I have always enjoyed being in the woods, and creating with wood. I followed that passion through college, earning B.A. and M.S. degrees from UNI and CSU in Industrial Arts and Sciences. That led to 27 years of teaching woodworking and woodturning. Since retiring, I have been teaching woodturning throughout the U.S. at symposiums, club demos, and workshops.

My work has been featured in UK Woodturning and American Woodturning magazines. My turnings are found in private collections throughout the U.S. I am currently represented by Cowboys and Indians Gallery, in Santa Fe and Enchantment Resort in Sedona.
