Diana McClaran

Belgrade, Montana

Diana McClaran is a Montana-based wildlife and equine bronze sculptor working in the lost-wax casting tradition. Her training began in the foundry, where she learned every stage of the casting process and developed as a skilled patineur. That hands-on foundation continues to shape her work, grounding each piece in strong anatomy while combining realism with a touch of whimsy and quiet humor.

Her sculptures have earned national recognition, including the prestigious Marilyn Newmark Award for Realistic Sculpture from both the Society of Animal Artists and the American Academy of Equine Artists, along with multiple People’s Choice Awards from juried exhibitions. Her work is represented in galleries in Colorado, Florida, Montana, and the United Kingdom.
