Denny Wainscott

Frankfort, Indiana

Denny Wainscott is a self taught artist from Frankfort, Indiana. He creates vessels made from gourds using southwest motifs and Native designs. He inlays turquoise, lapis, malachite, mother of pearl and silver which enhances the beauty of the gourd. He carves the designs and uses wood stains and leather dyes to create multiple layers of color.

He quit corporate America on his fiftieth birthday and entered the art world.

He has participated in many prestigious art shows including the Smithsonian Optimism Show.

His work is displayed in the Worrell Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
