David Zahn

Moline, Illinois

David Zahn lives in Moline, Illinois. Originally from the Chicago area, he has been creating his entire life. David studied figure sculpting and bronze casting at the Art Institute of Chicago. His figure-based artworks are interesting and powerful, and they contain a sense of mystery. In 2012, Deere & Co. commissioned him to do a large bronze to commemorate the company’s 175th anniversary. As recently as 2024, David placed two bronze portrait bust sculptures in the Illinois State Capitol Supreme Court building in Springfield, Illinois. There are sculptures of his on permanent display at public buildings, schools, parks, libraries, art museums, and many other locations. Most are located in Iowa and Illinois.
