David Turner

Onley, Virginia

David Turner is from the Eastern Shore of Virginia, which is a wildlife rich peninsula between the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. He has a degree in Biology and a minor in Studio Art from the College of William and Mary. David casts his sculptures in his personal foundry in Virginia. He has created over 300 different limited editions and more than 75 public commission sculptures including works for the National Zoo, Brookgreen Gardens and Benson Park in Loveland. David is a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists and a Fellow member of the National Sculpture Society. He has been awarded the Downing Excellence in Design Award by the NSS and recently received the Living Legend Award presented by the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art.
