David Huang

Sand Lake, Michigan

David Huang was born, raised, trained, and still living in Western Michigan. Starting metalsmithing in high school, he then earned his BFA from Grand Valley State University. Working full-time as a self-employed artist since 2003, David is represented by galleries around the U.S. His work has been shown both nationally and internationally, including regular representation at the SOFA Chicago Expo and significant exhibitions at the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art, and the Muskegon Museum of Art. Numerous publications featuring David's work include Metalsmith Magazine and American Craft. He won first place in the 2019 Saul Bell Design Awards hollowware/objects category.
