Charles Evan Brenton (b. 1987, Iowa) is a Colorado-based sculptor whose work explores endurance, landscape, and abstraction. Through fabricated geometric forms, he translates movement through mountainous terrain into structures of void, passage, and planes of color. His sculptures evoke landscape without settling into fixed representation, balancing material precision with a painterly approach to surface. Brenton’s background in sculpture, landscape architecture, and environmental science informs a practice shaped equally by conceptual inquiry and technical fluency. He has exhibited throughout the American West, including Denver, Santa Fe, and Aspen. He lives and works in Colorado, where the mountains remain central to his practice.
