Brandon Meehl

Brandon Meehl is an emerging artist who was born and raised in Colorado. He graduated from Colorado School of Mines, and has spent most of his career in mineral exploration and mine geology. Introduced to stone carving in 2015, he spent two years working at a Denver-based studio that fabricates large-scale private and public stone sculpture. He has been creating his own sculpture as an avocation up until last year, when he established Granite Block Studios LLC in order to showcase and sell his artwork. As a stone sculptor and a geologist, he is inspired by the natural world and design motifs that are present throughout Colorado's historic mining towns.
