Bill Usher

Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Interested in exploring organic abstraction, Bill draws inspiration from the natural forms of plants and animals, the flow of water and the beauty of human anatomy. Melding these influences into fluid, dynamic compositions is his passion. After graduating with a Batchelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture, Bill broadened his creative skills by working with very knowledgeable employers in wood carving, custom lighting and ornamental ironwork. Over the past year, Bill’s sculptures have gained notable recognition, including commissioned pieces placed in a Beverly Hills collection and aboard a Mediterranean cruise ship’s art collection. He is currently producing work from his studio in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Urania, Goddess of Astrology and Astronomy, is made from Sylacauga Marble.
