Amber Jean
Livingston, Montana
Amber Jean lives and works at the end of a road near the top of a mountain in Montana. A multidisciplinary artist, she creates work ranging from monumental carvings to intimate sculptures that feel at home in the palm of a hand.
Guided by a deep relationship with the natural world, her practice explores presence, impermanence, and the mysterious moment when material becomes alive with meaning.
Declared one of “America’s Woodworking Greats” by WOOD Magazine, she has carved for the King of Bhutan, and her life-size bison bench greets travelers arriving at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.
Her work is held in private collections across the country and in public spaces where art meets everyday life - a luminous gesture of love toward nature and humankind.
