User Guidance for Volunteers
Welcome to the SITP Volunteer Sign Up app! This guide explains how to use the app to find, manage, and complete volunteer shifts with the Loveland High Plains Arts Council.
Thank you for supporting our mission.
1. Getting Started
Create Your Account
Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Sign up using your email address (or other available sign-in options).
Complete your volunteer profile with accurate contact information and availability.
Your profile helps us match you with appropriate volunteer opportunities.
2. Browsing Volunteer Opportunities
Open the Shifts or Opportunities section to view available volunteer shifts.
Each shift listing includes:
Date and time
Location (if applicable)
Description of duties
Any special requirements
Read shift details carefully before signing up.
3. Signing Up for a Shift
To sign up:
Select the shift you are interested in.
Tap Sign Up or Confirm.
You will receive a confirmation in the app (and possibly by email).
By signing up, you are committing to attend or to notify us as soon as possible if you cannot.
4. Managing Your Shifts
In the My Shifts section, you can:
View upcoming shifts
Cancel a shift if plans change (within allowed timeframes)
See completed shifts and volunteer hours
Please cancel early if you cannot attend, so another volunteer can take your place.
5. Day of Your Shift
Before your shift:
Review instructions and location details
Arrive on time
Bring any required items or documentation
During your shift:
Follow staff instructions and safety guidelines
Treat everyone with respect
Ask questions if you are unsure about a task
6. After Your Shift
After completing a shift:
Your hours may be logged automatically or approved by staff
You may be asked to provide feedback
Volunteer history will be available in your account
Your participation and feedback help us improve.
7. Notifications and Messages
The app may send notifications about:
Shift reminders
Schedule changes
Important updates
New volunteer opportunities
You can manage notification preferences in your account settings.
8. Code of Conduct
All volunteers are expected to:
Act respectfully and professionally
Follow organizational rules and safety procedures
Avoid harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior
Use the app only for nonprofit volunteer purposes
Violations may result in removal from shifts or loss of app access.
9. Account Support
You can:
Update your profile information at any time
Reset your password if needed

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SITP Volunteer Sign Up mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"), operated by the Loveland High Plains Arts Council, a nonprofit organization ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you disagree, please do not use the App.
1. Purpose of the App
The App exists to support the charitable mission of the Loveland High Plains Arts Council by enabling volunteers to view, sign up for, manage, and track volunteer opportunities. Use of the App is solely for nonprofit and community service purposes.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 15 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you may be required to have parental or guardian consent. By using the App, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Volunteer Relationship
Volunteers using the App are not employees, agents, or contractors of the Loveland High Plains Arts Council. No wages, benefits, insurance coverage, or compensation are provided unless explicitly stated in writing.
Participation as a volunteer is voluntary and may be ended at any time by you or by us.
4. User Accounts
Some features require account creation. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and all activity conducted under your account.
You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or security breach related to your account.
5. Volunteer Shifts and Responsibilities
By signing up for a shift, you agree to:
Make a reasonable effort to attend and perform assigned duties
Follow instructions, safety guidelines, and applicable laws
Notify the organization as soon as possible if you cannot attend
Repeated no-shows or failure to comply with expectations may result in restricted or terminated access to the App.
6. Code of Conduct
Volunteers must:
Act respectfully toward staff, volunteers, and community members
Avoid harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior
Follow all organizational policies and site-specific rules
Use the App only for its intended nonprofit purpose
We reserve the right to remove volunteers from shifts or suspend App access for violations.
7. Assumption of Risk
Volunteer activities may involve physical, emotional, or environmental risks. By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your volunteer activities to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Release and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless the Loveland High Plains Arts Council, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of the App or participation in volunteer activities, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Privacy
Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.
10. Intellectual Property
All App content, including text, graphics, and software, is owned by or licensed to the Loveland High Plains Arts Council and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Use of the App does not grant any ownership rights.
11. Termination of Access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at any time for misuse, violation of these Terms, or actions that are inconsistent with our mission.
12. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these Terms as needed. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law rules.
