Samuel Kumi (born 1983), is a United States based Ghanaian multidisciplinary artist whose works often manifest as sculptures. Inspired by an array of indigenous narratives, cross-cultural/era discourses and experiences. His prominent feature, which includes realistic rendition of subjects explore the intersection of traditional African forms, conventional sculptural practices and contemporary/global artistic expressions. His commissioned sculptures can be seen as they grace various public edifices in various parts of Ghana and recently in the USA. In 2021, he became the recipient of the Best Ghanaian Sculptor Award presented by the Ghana Art and Culture Award (GACA).
