Art grows from life, and mine has been quite the journey. I spent years working blue-collar jobs, from factories to construction. I’ve lived in a half-dozen states, traveled abroad, sailed the Pacific Ocean, and become a parent, while constantly pushing myself to create and hone my craft. That’s why I love stone sculpture. It combines the hard physical work I value with freedom, expression, imagination, and narrative. Now I make art full-time using stone, minerals, and wood. I have large-scale installations in Florida, West Virginia, and Missouri. My works are in private collections around the U.S., Israel, Australia, Switzerland, and Italy. His piece shown here is made from Colorado marble and nephrite jade.
