Kent Ullberg

Kent Ullberg, a native of Sweden, is a renowned wildlife sculptor based in Texas. He studied at the Swedish University College of Art and has worked in museums across Europe. Ullberg has received six awards from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, including the prestigious 1998 Prix De West Purchase Award. In 1990, he was elected a Full Academician by the National Academy, becoming the first Wildlife Artist since Audubon to receive this honor. He has also received the Rungius Medal for his contributions to wildlife interpretation and conservation. His latest work, Merry Time Romance, was dedicated at the Rockport Art Center in January 2023.
