2025 marks my 20th year carving stone into stylized animals. My first 20-year career was as a Character Animator at Walt Disney Feature Animation. I use all of my animation knowledge to bring my stone animals to life. Each sculpture is inspired by a powerful story that sustains my vision through the hundreds of hours it takes to create a sculpture. "Tazz" is inspired by a little Arabian horse rescued from the brink. He came leaping back to life, beaming out the love and compassion shown to him. The exuberant pose is like a jazz improvisation with each cascading form representing a musical phrase, calling and answering.
