America’s Largest Outdoor Juried Sculpture Show and Sale
Producing the annual Sculpture in the Park Show and Sale is a tremendous, year-round endeavor that involves a significant number of extraordinary individuals.
We often think of the Sculpture in the Park Show and Sale as a three-legged stool. Each leg represents an important component of our success. One leg is comprised of our loyal, generous patrons. Another leg consists of our creative, highly skilled artists. The final leg is composed of our talented, hard-working volunteers. Without all three of these legs, our stool would fall.
The annual sculpture show is produced by the Loveland High Plains Arts Council, a private non-profit organization that was established in 1984 to promote sculptural arts for the cultural and economic benefit of the entire community. The show is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is supported by over 400 exceptional community volunteers. Annually the volunteers donate nearly 6,000 hours of their time and talent.
Each year the proceeds generated from the Sculpture in the Park Show and Sale are used to purchase sculptures for the Benson Sculpture Garden. The funding also covers capital improvements and landscaping. This extraordinary collection of art is situated around a lagoon amid trees, flowers, and a natural habitat area. With the Rocky Mountains as the majestic backdrop, Benson Sculpture Garden has been described as “one of the most unique sculpture gardens in the nation.” It is open to the public throughout the year and annually this “public treasure” draws tens of thousands of visitors from around the world.
A lot of hard work and dedicated effort has gone into making this a reality. It’s a cooperative effort. An example of teamwork at its very best. It’s a rewarding experience and a lot of fun!
We are grateful to have you on our team!
